5G and cell towers in the Halifax region: 833 licensed sites mapped
Carriers must file the technical details of every mobile site with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), which publishes them monthly. Signal Atlas groups those filings into physical sites and maps them.
In the Halifax region, 833 sites are mapped and 243 of them (29%) carry 5G. 145 (17%) look closest to 6G: towers and rooftops already on fast 5G. That last number is our estimate; 6G’s first standards are not finished, so no site can be certified 6G-ready yet.
